Tea can soothe your skin. The secret? Tea's tannin acts as an astringent with antibacterial and antiviral powers. Cold tea bags can be used to relieve tired eyes and a tea-soaked compress is perfect for soothing sunburn.

I've also used a cooled green tea brew as a facial toner. :-)
That sounds so refreshing!
With summer nearing, I wonder what kind of tea "spritzer" could be concocted, then kept in the fridge for cool, refreshing "splashes" throughout the day? I'm thinking green tea with some sort of citrus? Hmmmm.....
Great ideas. I'm not too bothered by tired eyes - if only teabags could reduce dark under eye circles.
ParTeaLady, I know what you mean - I have dark, under-eye circles, too. The more sleep I get at night, the better they look and I've never found an under-eye concealer that truly works...alas.
I'm sure a green tea spritzer with real lemon juice, would be a wonderful thing to keep in the fridge. You'd need to throw it out after a week and make a fresh batch, though, or tea can grow mold, even in the fridge. You could drink the cold tea and have a cup or so in a spray bottle for spritzing your face, that would be nice. We're going through an early heat wave here in my part of California (over 90 degrees in mid-April?!?) and a cold tea spray on my face sounds really refreshing right now!
